What are some healthy things I should buy from Trader Joe's?

I want to get healthier; there is a trader joe's next to my work and I want to know what are the best things to buy there.

what are the best bars to get there - for a quick lunch or breakfast.

do they have antioxidants?

do they have that bread that has all the nutrients in it? The one UFC champion Sean Sherk eats?

Basically, what are the best things i should buy at trader joe's to change my diet. Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I'm not sure what region you live in; TJ's products differ depending on what part of the US you're in, but I'll give you a few employee picks from the SoCal stores:

For bars, Greens+ are really nice, but pricey. If you'd like something cheaper, but still good for you and without high fructose corn syrup or any of that junk try Clif or Promax bars. Stay far away from those Tiger's Milk ones; they are full of crap ingredients like partially hydrogenated oils.

For antioxidants, you could pick up one of the 16 oz Mango & Antioxidant smoothies from the dairy box... they're cheaper than the ones in most other stores and are made by a company whose name is kind of like the word 'nude'. (I am obviously not allowed to tell you who.) Or you could buy some of the organic mixed fruit spread, made with currants and acai fruit. It's pretty tasty on toast. There's also 100% juices like aronia, blueberry, and pomegranate, which are also high in antioxidants. Just make sure you dilute them a little, as they're really strong. Try some sparkling water or something.

I have no idea what bread this is that you talk about.

For healthy meal choices, your best bet would be to head down there on a day that you have a little free time to spend in TJ's, and explain your needs to one of the crew. People do this to me all the time and I'm glad to help. It's what we do, you know. We eat the food too, and product knowledge is part of our job.
