Barefoot Grounding – Good For Your Health?

June 30, 2009 by

barefoot_groundingHas anyone else heard of Barefoot Grounding? Basically, it means when you are connecting with the earth (without shoes or other insulating factors), you are absorbing some of its free electrons that reside just at and under the surface of the earth.

The research is fairly new but studies have revealed all kinds of benefits from this grounding or "earthing" as it's called. Here are some of the benefits they have noticed:

* Improved Energy
* Reduced Inflammation
* Improved Sleep
* Relieves Muscle Tension
* Reduced Stress
* Restores Normal Biological Rhythms

David Wolfe explains it pretty well in this video: Barefoot Technology Exposed

Of course, the best way to achieve this is to go stand outside barefoot on the grass for at least 30 minutes. Or you could just take your sleeping bag and sleep outside under the stars. Unfortunately, in today's world, that is difficult to do.

So, believe it or not, a retired cable guy came up with the idea of making "grounding" bed pads and sheets. They're not cheap, but if you are having problems sleeping, are in some type of chronic pain or are having "hormonal" problems, they might be worth checking out.
